Privacy Policy
How we handle the personal data you send us, for what purpose, which cookies we use, and how you can exercise your rights.
Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is Peru Inkas Top, a travel agency with offices at P.J. General Ollanta L-8, Cusco 08000, Peru.
You can reach us at +51 989 781 698, at +51 958 383 038, by email at ventas@peruinkastop.com, or on WhatsApp.
What data we collect
We only ask for the data we need to answer your enquiry or to book your trip:
- Data you send us: name, email address, phone number, destination or tour of interest, approximate travel dates, passport number and message.
- Booking data: once you confirm a tour, the data needed to issue tickets and permits, and that required by the authorities of Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail.
- Technical data: browser type and device, pages visited and IP address, generated automatically by the server.
Important: your passport number is sensitive data for a booking. We only use it to process your entry to Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail, and for no other purpose.
Why we use it
- Answer your enquiry and quote your trip.
- Process and confirm bookings, issuing tickets and securing the required permits.
- Send your booking confirmation and the instructions for your tour.
- Handle complaints and requests through the Book of Complaints.
- Improve the site: understand which routes interest people and fix navigation errors.
Processing relies on your consent, on the performance of the contractual relationship once a booking exists, and on legitimate interest for site security and improvement.
Cookies and Google Analytics
This site uses two kinds of cookies:
- Necessary cookies: Session PHPSESSID. They are essential for the contact and quote forms to work and cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies: Google Analytics, using Consent Mode v2. They are not set until you accept in the privacy notice.
If you choose to reject, the site keeps working normally and Google Analytics still sends aggregated data that does not identify you (so-called cookieless pings), without setting cookies on your device.
You can change your decision at any time in the Preferences section of the privacy notice. You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings.
Who we share your data with
To deliver the service you booked, your data may be processed by:
- Tourism authorities: the Ministry of Culture, Inca Rail and Machu Picchu, to book train tickets, Inca Trail permits and entry tickets.
- International providers: for hotel bookings, tour operators and transport operators, whenever your trip requires them.
- Communication services: WhatsApp (Meta) and our email provider, to handle your messages.
- Web analytics: Google Ireland Limited, which acts as processor for Google Analytics data.
We do not sell or transfer your personal data. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become a booking are kept while we handle your request and, afterwards, for a maximum of 12 months.
Data from a confirmed booking is kept for as long as needed to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and to handle any event after your trip.
Your rights
Under Peru's Law 29733 on the Protection of Personal Data, you can exercise the following rights at any time:
- Access: know what data of yours we hold.
- Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Cancellation: ask us to delete your data where legally possible.
- Objection: object to the use of your data for purposes other than your booking.
- Information: know the entities with whom we share your data.
To exercise them, write to us at ventas@peruinkastop.com or submit your request in writing at our Cusco office. We reply within a reasonable period.
Security and minors
The site is served over a secure connection with TLS encryption (HTTPS), and the contact forms are protected by anti-bot measures. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to prevent improper access, use or alteration of your data.
Our tours are aimed at people over 18 years old. If you are a minor, you need the authorisation of your parent or guardian, and you should write to us through our contact email.
