Arrival in the city of Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. Private transfer to your hotel in Cusco, where you will have time to rest and start acclimatizing to the altitude.

After a good night of rest and a fresh breakfast, you will begin a private full-day excursion to the most important sites of the Urubamba valley. Your first stop will be the ancient Inca town of Pisac, where you can explore the local market and buy traditional crafts, textiles and ornaments.
Then, you will visit the nearby Pisac ruins, one of the largest and most impressive archaeological complexes in the valley. Lunch will be served at the beautiful Huayoccari hacienda.
In the afternoon, you will explore the ruins of Ollantaytambo, the only Inca city that the Spanish could not conquer. You will have the opportunity to tour this site before returning to your hotel in Cusco.

After breakfast, you will take a private transfer to the Poroy train station to board the luxurious Hiram Bingham train bound for Aguas Calientes. This Orient Express-style train is the most exclusive way to visit Machu Picchu and includes a gourmet lunch on board.
Upon arriving in Aguas Calientes, you will take a short bus ride with your guide to ascend to the majestic Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. You will enjoy a private guided visit of this spectacular archaeological site, one of the most iconic in the world.
After the visit, you will return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time before boarding the Hiram Bingham train again in the afternoon. The return journey includes an open-air observation carriage, live classical music, appetizers, cocktails and a gourmet dinner.
Arrival at Poroy will be after 9:00 p.m., followed by a private transfer to your hotel in Cusco.

Before your luxury Machu Picchu tour
Tour cancellations due to bad weather are not refundable, as they are factors beyond our control.
According to the latest policies of the Dirección Desconcentrada de Cultura de Cusco (DDC), all Machu Picchu entrance tickets are personal. Therefore, they cannot be rescheduled, transferred or refunded.
The train company that takes you to Machu Picchu does not allow luggage larger than 5 kg. Most travelers carry only a small backpack for Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu. You can leave the rest of your luggage at your hotel's storage in Cusco at no extra cost.
Peru Rail and Inca Rail do not allow seat selection. Seats are assigned automatically by the system.
The Hiram Bingham train is an Orient Express-style service: the outbound journey includes a gourmet lunch on board, and the return offers an open-air observation carriage, live classical music, appetizers, cocktails and a gourmet dinner.
It is not mandatory for those visiting the cultural region (Cusco and Machu Picchu). However, it is recommended for those traveling to the Peruvian Amazon rainforest.
