On your arrival at Cusco airport, a representative will be waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel. He will give you information about the main attractions and services of the city and help you with the check-in.
The afternoon is free to explore the picturesque streets of Cusco. An excellent option is to visit the historic San Blas neighborhood, famous for its artisan workshops and known as the "Balcony of Cusco", with cobbled streets, art galleries and restaurants serving local and international cuisine.
Another great spot is the famous San Pedro Market, one of the most colorful places in the city, perfect for getting to know Cusco culture and trying the local gastronomy.

After breakfast at the hotel, you board an early train to the town of Aguas Calientes. From there, a bus takes you to the majestic Citadel of Machu Picchu, one of the most impressive archaeological wonders in the world.
Built in the 15th century during the peak of the Inca Empire, Machu Picchu stands imposing with views over the Urubamba river. It was revealed to the world in 1911 by Hiram Bingham, although locals already knew of its existence. Its original purpose remains a mystery.
You enjoy a complete guided visit with an expert local guide and in the afternoon you return by train to Cusco, where you will be received and transferred to your hotel.

Before your tour to Machu Picchu
Tour cancellations due to bad weather are not refundable, as they are factors beyond our control.
According to the latest policies of the Dirección Desconcentrada de Cultura de Cusco (DDC), all Machu Picchu entrance tickets are personal. Therefore, they cannot be rescheduled, transferred or refunded.
The train company that takes you to Machu Picchu does not allow luggage heavier than 5 kg. Most travelers carry only a small backpack for Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu. The rest of your luggage can be left in your hotel storage in Cusco at no extra cost.
Yes. The tour includes private transfers with a Spanish- or English-speaking assistant from Cusco airport to your hotel, to and from the train station, and back to the airport for your flight to Lima.
We recommend taking the Expedition or Voyager train on the way there and the Vistadome or 360° panoramic train on the return, to enjoy better views.
