Arrival in Lima: From the moment you arrive, a member of our team will be waiting at the airport to take you in our private transportation to your hotel in the city center.

Lima City of Kings tour: you'll explore Lima across its three historical stages: pre-Hispanic, colonial and modern. We start with the Huaca Pucllana, a panoramic view of this ceremonial center built in the 4th century AD, considered a "sacred town" by the Incas.
In the Historic Center you'll admire more than fifty colonial monuments and buildings: the Paseo de la República, Plaza San Martín, Plaza Mayor, Government Palace, Archbishop's Palace, the Cathedral Basilica and the City Hall.
Entry to the San Francisco Monastery, the greatest example of religious colonial art in the Americas, with its underground crypts: the "Catacombs". Finally, we'll pass through the traditional residential areas of San Isidro, Miraflores and Larcomar.

Cusco city tour and archaeological sites: one of our representatives will take you to the airport to board your flight to Cusco (flight not included). Upon arrival, a representative will take you to your hotel and give you an orientation of the city.
PM (approx. 1:00–6:00 p.m.): a guided visit through the city visiting the Cusco Cathedral, the Koricancha (Temple of the Sun, today the Santo Domingo Convent), the Sacsayhuamán fortress (shaped like a puma's head), Q'enqo (dedicated to Mother Earth), Puca Pucara (military ruin with panoramic views) and Tambomachay (the "Temple of Water"). Then, transfer back to the hotel.

Sacred Valley tour: around 8:00 a.m. we start picking up passengers for a full-day tour. We'll visit Pisac, famous for its craft market and its archaeological sites with agricultural terraces, irrigation systems, the sundial (Intiwatana) and an astronomical observatory.
After the buffet lunch, we'll explore Ollantaytambo, a monumental archaeological complex with temples, terraces and an urban area, an important religious, administrative and military center. To finish, we'll board the train to Aguas Calientes, where you'll spend the night at the base of Machu Picchu.

Early in the morning you'll board the bus that takes you to one of the most impressive archaeological sites in the world: Machu Picchu, the "Lost City of the Incas". Built in the 15th century during the height of the Inca Empire and set above the Urubamba river valley, it was brought to the world's attention by Hiram Bingham in 1911, although locals had known of its existence for centuries.
The original purpose of the site remains a mystery. Accompanied by an expert local guide, you'll tour temples, agricultural terraces and sacred sites. In the afternoon, you'll take the train back to Cusco, where you'll be transferred to your hotel.

Cusco – Puno route: we'll pick you up around 6:30 a.m. to start the sightseeing route to Puno, with stops at outstanding historical sites: Andahuaylillas, the "Sistine Chapel of South America"; Raqchi (Temple of Wiracocha), a monumental construction 100 meters long; La Raya (4,300 m), the highest point of the trip and the border between the Quechua and Aymara cultures; and Pukará, an important ceremonial center of the Pukará civilization.
Around 5:00 p.m. we'll arrive in Puno, where you'll be assisted with your transfer and hotel check-in.

Uros and Taquile on Lake Titicaca: early in the morning we'll head to the port to board a motorboat and start the full-day tour. First we'll visit the Uros floating islands, at 3,810 m, artificial islands built with layers of totora reed and inhabited since pre-Inca times.
Then you'll continue to Taquile island, famous for the hospitality of its inhabitants and its hand-woven textiles, recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. After touring the island and enjoying lunch, you'll return to Puno in the late afternoon.

Transfer from Puno to Lima: at the scheduled time we'll pick you up from your hotel for your transfer to the Juliaca airport (approx. 1 h 30 min), where you'll board your return flight to Lima.

Before your trip through the best of Peru
Tour cancellations due to bad weather are not refundable, as they are factors beyond our control.
According to the latest policies of the Dirección Desconcentrada de Cultura de Cusco (DDC), all Machu Picchu entry tickets are personal. Therefore, they cannot be rescheduled, transferred or refunded.
The train company that takes you to Machu Picchu does not allow luggage over 5 kg. Most travelers only take a small backpack for Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu. You can leave the rest of your luggage at your hotel's storage in Cusco at no extra cost.
Peru Rail and Inca Rail do not allow seat selection. Seats are assigned automatically by the system.
The Expedition train is the standard category with comfortable seats and panoramic windows. The Vistadome train adds a glass roof and sides to appreciate the Sacred Valley landscape in full, plus panoramic windows in the aisles.
It is not mandatory for those visiting the cultural region (Cusco, Machu Picchu, Puno and Lima). However, it is recommended for those traveling to the Amazon rainforest of Peru.

In Peru, US dollars and soles are accepted. Ideally, bring dollars and exchange them at safe exchange offices within the country, preferably those recommended by your travel agency.
There are two main seasons: the rainy season (November to March) and the dry season (April to October). In Cusco and Machu Picchu, temperatures range between 0°C and 24°C. In Lima, temperatures range between 12°C and 35°C.
