Frequently asked questions

Before your tour to Machu Picchu

Tour cancellations due to bad weather are not refundable, as they are factors beyond our control.

No. According to the Dirección Desconcentrada de Cultura de Cusco (DDC), all Machu Picchu entrance tickets are personal: they cannot be rescheduled, transferred or refunded.

The train company allows only carry-on luggage of maximum 5 kg (11 lb) with a size of 62 linear inches / 157 cm. The rest of your luggage can be left in your hotel storage in Cusco at no extra cost.

Peru Rail and Inca Rail do not allow seat selection: seats are assigned automatically in the system.

We recommend the Expedition or Voyager train on the way there and the Vistadome or 360° panoramic train on the return, to enjoy the best views without missing the visit.

It is not mandatory for those visiting the cultural region (Cusco and Machu Picchu), but it is recommended for those traveling to the Peruvian Amazon jungle.
