Tour of the city of Lima: a guided visit across its three historical periods: pre-Hispanic, colonial and modern. It includes the panoramic view of the Huaca Pucllana, a ceremonial center built in the 4th century AD, considered a sacred place by the Incas, and the Historic Center with over fifty colonial monuments: Paseo de la República, Plaza San Martín, Plaza Mayor, Government Palace, Cathedral Basilica and City Hall.
Entrance to the San Francisco Monastery, the largest collection of colonial religious art in the Americas, with a visit to its underground crypts, known as the Catacombs. Closing through contemporary Lima: El Olivar de San Isidro, Miraflores and Larcomar.

Early in the morning we will take our transport to Paracas. After a journey of almost 4 hours, we will arrive at the port to board a speedboat to the Ballestas Islands, the natural habitat of dolphins, sea lions, penguins, pelicans and more than 200 species of birds. On the way, we will pass the enigmatic Candelabra, a giant geoglyph made with the same technique as the Nazca Lines.
We continue to Ica: its Plaza de Armas, its old and modern streets and the artisanal winery "Tres Generaciones", where we will learn about the production and tasting of wine and pisco. Then, the magical Huacachina Lagoon, the "Oasis of the Americas", with an exciting ride in a tubular (dune buggy). In the afternoon, return to Lima (approx. 5.5 hours) and transfer to your hotel.

Tour of Arequipa: after breakfast, a Peru Inkas Top representative will pick you up at your hotel in Lima and take you to the airport for your flight to Arequipa. On arrival, our team will welcome you and help you check in, with complimentary coca tea and muña to help you acclimate to the altitude of the "White City".
In the afternoon, a guided cultural tour of the city: the Cathedral Basilica on the Plaza de Armas, a symbol of the faith and resilience of the city, and the Yanahuara viewpoint, with its carved sillar arches from the 19th century and views of the Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu. The tour ends at the Santa Catalina Monastery, one of the most important architectural and religious gems in Peru.

Towards the Colca Valley: early departure from the White City on a scenic journey between snow-capped volcanoes, rugged pampas, agricultural terraces and villages with ancient ways of life. First stop at the Aguada Blanca National Reserve (over 366,000 hectares), where we can observe guanacos, alpacas and vicuñas in their natural habitat, as well as vizcachas, Andean foxes and flamingos.
We will skirt the Chucura Volcano up to the Mirador de los Andes – Patapampa (4,900 m.a.s.l.), with views of the snow-capped Hualca Hualca, Sabancaya and Ampato. Then Chivay, the gateway to the valley, with a traditional lunch and hotel check-in. In the afternoon, free time to explore the town or take part in optional activities such as the La Calera hot springs (38 °C).

Cruz del Cóndor: we start early, because there is so much to see! First, the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, near Maca and Cabanaconde. The canyon's strong winds create a favorite spot for the Andean condors, birds with a wingspan of up to three meters, which glide over the thermals, usually in the morning and at dusk.
Around 1:00 p.m. the journey to Puno, the capital of Peruvian folklore, begins, with a stop at Patapampa (4,900 m.a.s.l.), the highest point of the trip, with views of the Sabancaya, Ampato, Misti and Chachani volcanoes and the apachetas, piles of stones left by travelers as offerings. Arrival in Puno around 6:00 p.m. and check-in at your hotel on the shores of Lake Titicaca.

Uros and Amantaní: breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the port, where we will board a boat for our excursion on Lake Titicaca. The visit begins at the Uros Islands (3,810 m.a.s.l.), a group of floating islands dating back to pre-Hispanic times, built entirely from totora reeds.
Then we sail to the island of Amantaní, where we will spend the night in houses prepared by the locals. Accommodation, lunch and dinner on the island are included: an authentic cultural coexistence experience on the highest navigable lake in the world.

Amantaní and Taquile: breakfast on the island and departure by boat to the island of Taquile. At the top of the hill known as "The Island", pre-Inca funerary towers built with carved stones are preserved, whose entrances allow a standing person to pass through.
After exploring the island, famous for the friendliness of its people, its cultural identity and its fine hand-woven textiles, we return to Puno, where you will spend the night at your selected hotel.

Route of the Sun: we will pick you up at 7:00 a.m. and transfer you to the bus station bound for Cusco. This stretch is not just a journey, but a guided visit with stops of great cultural value: Pukará, the most important and oldest ceremonial center of the Altiplano; La Raya (4,335 m.a.s.l.), the highest point of the route and cultural boundary between the Quechua and Aymara traditions, with llamas, alpacas and vicuñas.
We will also visit Raqchi, with the monumental Temple of the God Wiracocha, and Andahuaylillas, the church known as the "Sistine Chapel of South America". Arrival in Cusco at approximately 5:00 p.m., with transfer to your hotel to rest.

Sacred Valley of the Incas: after breakfast, around 8:00 a.m. you will be picked up for the full-day excursion. First stop at Pisac: the picturesque village, its artisan market and its archaeological site with terraces, irrigation canals, an astronomical observatory and the ceremonial Intiwatana sundial. Then, a buffet lunch at a local restaurant.
We continue at Ollantaytambo, a fortified archaeological complex that combines temples, terraces and an urban sector with religious, administrative and military functions. We close at Chinchero, famous for its colonial church adorned with paintings from the Cusco school and its traditional fair where barter is still practiced. Return to Cusco and overnight at the hotel.

Rainbow Mountain – Vinicunca: at 4:00 a.m. you will be picked up at your hotel to start the excursion to the southeast, passing through Cusipata (3,339 m.a.s.l.) to the town of Llactoc. Along the way you can observe herds of alpacas and llamas as well as the characteristic flora of the area.
From Llactoc, a hike of approximately 2.5 hours to the majestic Rainbow Mountain (5,200 m.a.s.l.), where you will have about an hour to contemplate the landscape and take photos. Descent of 1 hour 30 minutes to Llactoc, a typical lunch in Cusipata and return to Cusco, arriving around 5:00 p.m.

Tour of the city of Cusco: from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., a guided tour of the imperial capital that includes the Cathedral, an iconic colonial monument on the main square, and the Koricancha (Temple of the Sun), the most important temple of the Inca Empire, now part of the Santo Domingo Convent.
Then, outside the city: Sacsayhuamán, a ceremonial fortress shaped like a puma's head built with enormous stone blocks; Q'enqo, "The Labyrinth", dedicated to the worship of the Earth; Puca Pucara, the "Red Fortress", of military and control functions; and Tambomachay, the "Water Temple", a center of worship and purification rituals.

"The Inca Trail is for the mind, not for the feet..." (as Peru Inkas Top guides say). We start the adventure by picking up travelers at their hotels in Cusco and heading to Km 82, enjoying the views of the Sacred Valley and the traditional villages.
When we arrive, we cross the Urubamba river and start the hike to Llactapata, an ancient Inca fortress that protected the valley and served as an agricultural center. After lunch at Tayaroc, surrounded by native flora and mountains, we continue to Wayllabamba, where the camp welcomes us with a snack and dinner, preparing for the challenge of the next day: the Warmiwañusqa (the Dead Woman).

Second day of the Inca Trail: it begins with a hearty breakfast before starting the ascent to the Ayapata valley. The hike of approximately one hour crosses a unique microclimate and forests up to the challenging Warmiwañuska Pass (4,200 meters), with ancient Inca stairways and panoramic views of snow-capped peaks such as Huayanay. At Llulluchapampa, a good lunch awaits us.
The hike continues through a cloud forest and the Puna region, home to hummingbirds, condors and deer. After reaching the summit, we descend to the Pacaymayo valley, where the camp welcomes us with hot tea and a comforting dinner to replenish our energy.

Third day of the Inca Trail: a hearty breakfast and a steep climb from Pacaymayo to the ruins of Runkurakay, an ancient Inca tambo. After about an hour, the second pass is reached, with spectacular views that include the snow-capped Pumasillo. The route descends through a tunnel and winds to Sayacmarka, a majestic Inca city, and continues to Chakicocha, where we stop for lunch.
In the afternoon, the route reveals the beauty of the trail through Phuyupatamarca, descending along stone stairways toward Wiñaywayna and Intipata, with impressive views of the Urubamba Valley. We visit the extensive Wiñaywayna complex before camping; the day ends with tea and a buffet dinner, ready to reach Machu Picchu the next day.

Fourth day of the Inca Trail: the hike begins very early, at 4:00 a.m., to reach Inti Punku (Sun Gate) and enjoy the spectacular sunrise that lights up Machu Picchu. From there, a descent of about 50 minutes to the citadel, check-in and a guided visit of about 3 hours.
After the visit, free time to explore or rest. There are additional options with special permits, such as climbing Huayna Picchu (Young Mountain) or visiting the Inca Bridge. The day ends by bus to Aguas Calientes and the return train to Cusco, arriving around 8 to 9 p.m.

Journey to Iquitos: today a new adventure begins. In the morning, after a delicious breakfast, you will leave the Imperial City and fly to Iquitos. On arrival, our staff will welcome you and provide you with the necessary information for your stay. Then, transfer to your hotel.

Amazon rainforest – Ecolodge: breakfast at the hotel and departure to Nauta (1 hour 30 minutes, 97 km), the first settlement founded by the Spanish on the banks of the Marañón river. On the way we will visit San Joaquín de Omaguas, from where the birth of the Amazon river can be observed, and the Samuel Fritz Interpretation Center.
At the port of Nauta, boat to the ecolodge with a stop at the Fundo Casual (in flood season). On arrival, a descendant of the Kukama Kukamiria people will welcome us with a seasonal fruit drink. After lunch: sustainable activity (plant a tree, learn words in Kukama) and the Ethnobotanical Trail. At night, myths and legends of the Amazon on the Mythological Trail.

Pacaya Samiria Reserve – Nauta Caño: after breakfast, our guide will take us to the Private Reserve of the ecolodge (restinga forest). We will walk trails full of biodiversity, interpreting the flora and fauna and following traces of primates and other animals. The guide will explain the use of medicinal plants and trees, and we will do the Fauna Trail with our virtual guide.
In the afternoon, we head to the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve in the Nauta Caño area: registration and entry, and an excursion in search of pink and gray dolphins. The waters reflect the sky, the vegetation and the trees, hence the name "The Forest of Mirrors". We will identify birds and practice artisanal fishing; at dusk, a night excursion through the forest around the lodge.

Cocha Shiriyacu and the San Jorge Community: after breakfast, a boat excursion along the Marañón river to Cocha Shiriyacu, depending on the season and fishing conditions. We will visit the San Jorge Community and the Women's Artisan Center (Pua Kamatawara), recognized for their work with natural fiber (chambira) and wingo or mate carving. Then, return to the ecolodge.
At the indicated time, we will board the boat to the port of Nauta and transfer to Iquitos. From there, to the airport to take the flight to Lima and connect with your return flight home. This concludes your 20-day trip through Peru, full of adventures, culture and Amazonian nature.

Before your big journey
Tour cancellations due to bad weather are not refundable, as they are factors beyond our control.
According to the policies of the Dirección Desconcentrada de Cultura de Cusco (DDC), all Machu Picchu entrance tickets are personal: they cannot be rescheduled, transferred or refunded. The same applies to Inca Trail permits.
Train companies do not allow baggage heavier than 5 kg. It is best to carry only a small backpack for Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu; you can leave the rest of your luggage at your hotel's storage in Cusco at no extra cost.
Peru Rail and Inca Rail do not allow seat selection: seats are assigned automatically by the system.
It is of moderate difficulty. The second day crosses the Warmiwañuska Pass at 4,200 meters and the following days alternate climbs and descents over Inca terrain. A good level of fitness, hiking boots and warm clothing are recommended. Porters and cooks are part of the service.
It is not mandatory for those visiting the cultural region (Cusco and Machu Picchu). However, it is recommended for those traveling to the Peruvian Amazon rainforest, such as the Iquitos area.

The standard voltage in Peru is 230V. Some hotels offer 110V outlets with transformers upon request.
US dollars and soles are accepted in Peru. Ideally, bring dollars and exchange them at safe money exchange offices within the country, preferably recommended by your travel agency.
There are two main seasons: the rainy season (November to March) and the dry season (April to October). In Cusco and Machu Picchu, temperatures range between 0°C and 24°C; in the Amazon of Loreto, between 24°C and 34°C with high humidity.
