Early in the morning, we pick you up from your hotel to start the journey to Soraypampa, passing through the town of Mollepata and the lush valley of the Apurímac River. After about two and a half hours, you arrive at Soraypampa (3,900 m.a.s.l.), the starting point of the hike to Humantay Lagoon, located at 4,200 meters (13,779 ft).
After a 2-hour ascent, you reach this impressive natural wonder. You will have time for a brief explanation, photos and enjoying the magical landscape. Then, we return to Soraypampa to enjoy a delicious local lunch (included) with panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks, before returning to the city of Cusco.

Before your Humantay trekking
Tour cancellations due to bad weather are not refundable, as they are factors beyond our control.
The hike is moderate: an approximate 2-hour ascent from Soraypampa (3,900 m.a.s.l.) to the lagoon (4,200 m.a.s.l.). We recommend arriving in Cusco at least one day before to acclimatize to the altitude.
We recommend bringing a water bottle, windbreaker, warm clothing, a waterproof jacket or rain poncho, hiking shoes, sunglasses, a hat and sunscreen.
The tour includes round-trip transport from your hotel in Cusco. The journey passes through Mollepata and the Apurímac River valley to Soraypampa, the starting point of the hike, in about 2.5 hours.
It is not mandatory for those visiting the cultural region (Cusco and Machu Picchu). However, it is recommended for those traveling to the Peruvian Amazon jungle.
